Rosa

Chapter 1

The music played softly and the aristocrats waltzed around the dance room. The choir and band were filling the room with magic and melodies while the ladies in gown and the men in suits danced gracefully in time with the music. Rosa sat on a sweet at the edge of room. She was bored and restless, her  mother and father had made her come to meet the eligible bachelors which she was supposed to fall in love with, but so far the only thing that she had mildly  liked was the punch that tasted like raspberries and the mini chocolate tarts. She had greeted the men with a half-hearted smile and a wave but apart from that completely ignored them as they went off to dance with other women who wanted to dance.

Rosa wanted to go, she wanted go back to the palace and flop on to her big squishy bed and fall asleep with her gown on, even though the maids wouldn’t allow it. That was the bad thing about being royalty, everything has to be proper and her gown can have no creases, loose stitching or a bow out of place, and that was only her night gown. Rosa wished she wasn’t a princess, all the diamonds and petticoats, all the gold and tight corsets. She wanted to run away and leave this place, forever.

Rosa looked around, no-one was looking, she saw her chance she slowly rose from the sweet and snuck towards the open doors.  When close enough Rosa sprinted, she  kicked off her shoes and ran down the steps. That’s when she was seen, the man who saw her yelled and started to chase her, that alerted the other dancers, Rosa hated that man, how dare he yell when all she was doing running away harmlessly, she wasn’t hurting anyone! Rosa ran as the crowd that followed her got bigger and bigger until as Rosa could see behind her was a mass of people wearing petticoats and covered in jewels.

Rosa ran and ran but the mass following her would not give up. She ran until she came to small woodland, which in the centre had a very large hollow tree.  Rosa saw her opportunity and ran as fast as she could into the middle of the tree. She stood there as still as the old tree itself as the mass stopped and when back to palace to tell her mother and father that the chase had been unsuccessful. When she was sure they had all gone Rosa crept out of the tree started walking towards the village.

This is not based on my real mother or anyones mother for that fact.

Liana's Paper Doll Blog.

I really recommed  Liana's Paper Doll Blog. The dresses are amazing! Liana Kerr is behind the amazing drawings.
A white gown with a sweetheart neckline and off-the-shoulder poofed sleeves. The bodice is covered with a lacy pattern, and different colors of gemstones scattered along the edge and trailing down towards the waist. The full skirt is covered with seven layers, one for each color of the rainbow, with red near the waist, then orange underneath it, then yellow, green, blue and finally purple. Each layer is longer than the one before, and they split at the front of the gown to reveal the white underskirt, with its lacy pattern, which reaches to the floor.

Eva and The Unicorn Passage 1

Cool streams were flowing and the hills were perfect for rolling. Horses galloped and birds sung perfectly. Then Eva woke up, she looked around, it had only been a dream. The real world was dead and unloved. It was strewn with harsh deserts and unforgiveness; it was a war hit world. Eva wanted to get out of there and quick, but there was just one thing she didn’t know how, there was war all around her trenches and corpses. She started to cry, her big sister Leonie who was woken up by her crying cuddled her. Eva looked up at her sister's cheeks and realised that her cheeks were wet too. Eva wonder
